President‘s Message
HARMİAD

Dear Public Representatives,

Esteemed Academics,

Valued Investors,

Respected Colleagues,

In Turkey's development process, strong and sustainable cooperation between the public sector, universities, the private sector, and civil society organizations has always been a key factor in determining success. As HARMİAD (Association of Surveying Engineers and Business People), we operate with an understanding that enables this multi-stakeholder structure to function effectively, strengthens inter-institutional communication, and brings collective wisdom together on an institutional basis.

Our country's strong institutional structure, technical capacity, and international reputation create significant value in terms of both financial support and prestige, especially for projects to be carried out abroad. Recognizing this strength, HARMİAD considers it a strategic priority to act with the support and guidance of our government in projects representing our country.

In this regard, the inclusion of overseas service export projects led by HARMİAD within the scope of the work carried out under the auspices and umbrella of the Presidency will ensure that our country's technical capacity, institutional reliability, and engineering expertise are represented more strongly on the international stage.

HARMİAD, although composed of surveying engineers, is not limited to a single professional field. It is an interdisciplinary and multifaceted organization capable of collaborating with all sectors both domestically and internationally. It possesses the organizational capacity to play an active role in numerous fields, ranging from infrastructure to energy, transportation to agriculture, urban planning to defense.

Surveying engineering and HARMİAD have achieved a level of expertise that enables them to produce, apply, and utilize the highest level of data for today's satellite and space technologies, remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), big data, and artificial intelligence-supported decision-making mechanisms. In particular, the use of artificial intelligence in GIS enables more accurate, faster, and predictable results in asset management, land management, and planning processes.

HARMİAD members possess the knowledge, experience, and organizational skills to transfer the expertise gained over the years in Turkey in cadastral surveying, land management, and property systems to other countries. This expertise provides a significant advantage in international projects in terms of investment security, legal clarity, and sustainable development.

In asset management, surveying plays a strategic role at every stage, from real estate to infrastructure, natural resources to urban areas. It has become an indispensable professional requirement, paving the way in many areas such as land consolidation in rural areas, smart city applications in urban areas, and transportation and infrastructure projects.

The success of all these processes is possible through strong inter-institutional communication, transparent coordination, and the ability to come together around common goals. HARMİAD is positioned as a platform that facilitates this communication and transforms collective wisdom into an institutional structure.

However, HARMİAD is not only a structure focused on technical and economic goals, but also a non-governmental organization that considers social responsibility, social solidarity, and cooperation among its core values. It considers strengthening solidarity among its members and contributing to society as one of its primary duties.

Today, surveying engineering is not just a profession, but has become a strategic force in Turkey's development vision. HARMİAD plays an active role in realizing this vision through collective wisdom, technology, cooperation, and a sense of responsibility.

With this awareness, we will continue to steadfastly pursue our work that adds value to our country, enhances its prestige, and serves sustainable development. We will do so in harmony with our government and by strengthening our cooperation with public institutions, universities, the private sector, and civil society organizations. This is made possible through the agreements we have established with the governments of the countries where we implement our projects abroad and with our foreign investor partners.

Sincerely,

HARMİAD

Chairman of the Board of Directors

Hüseyin Hüsnü KACAR
